Senior Technical Consultant

Are you well skilled in composite boatbuilding and series yacht manufacture and keen on a new and exciting challenge?

SYR are working with a brand new facility in the Far East who are looking for a technical expert to join them, tasked with driving high standards and implementing strong processes. With a major facility completed and with their own yachts to build along with capacity to take on outsourced projects for other builders, the technical consultant will take on the following duties:

- Definition and implementation of process in composites, fitout, electrical and mechanical

- Writing of/training in quality standards to a European level 

- Guidance to local teams on production through initial models to instil manufacturing and fitout methods ongoing

- Support to onsite management in developing manufacturing standards 

- Quality control and checking of builds throughout the process and at handover/delivery

- Reporting across all technical areas

- Training and development 

In a candidate we are seeking someone with skills and expertise in series boatbuilding. You'll have a minimum of 10 years experience in the field, confident to lead and train others and to work with senior management to build robust manufacturing structure. You'll be able to impart your skills and knowledge to various stakeholders and confident to challenge and inspire through all you do. 

The role will see you based on site at the shipyard in China. Local accommodation and travel will be provided alongside all local working permits

A salary package of up to €100,000 is offered for the right candidate alongside an immediate start
