Quality Control Engineer

We're looking for a quality professional with experience in either boatbuilding or low volume composite manufacturing to join a leading brand in the world of superyacht tender manufacture based in Devon. A family run business with extensive growth over the past 20+ years, the brand now supplies vessels to anyone from a local family to a 100m+ yacht owner. From their UK premises they design, build and dispatch a range of unique high value craft. 

Currently experiencing a period of sustained growth, the team are now looking to bring a quality leader in to build and maintain quality standards across the business. Reporting into the technical director, the role will include the following duties:

- Creation of a host of in-house quality standards ranging from design to production, writing a full reporting structure for business introduction 

- Managing quality standards both in house and through third party suppliers to ensure that everything that arrives and subsequently leaves the business is of a high standrds 

- Training of colleagues in house of best practise and design/build to the newly introduced standards 

- Running regular quality audits and reporting into senior management on business performance 

- Submitting quality reports for internal and external use

- Working on improvement methodology 

In a candidate we seek someone with a strong quality background in either boatbuilding or low volume manufacture. You'll be used to creating and working to quality standards and be capable of working with a business to raise and maintain standards of excellence. A strong people person you'll be able to work with colleagues and management to instill your methods and be constantly striving for better
