Are you educated in design but an accomplished project manager with a love for stakeholder and client management?

We're working with one of the worlds most revered yacht designers as they seek a project manager to lead and manage the relationship amongst studio, yard, client, supplier and naval architect. With an immensely busy order book, the studio is continuing to grow to meet client demand and with more and more projects in the 80m+ segment the need for a project manager is ever more important.

Reporting into the directors, the role will involve the following critical duties:

- Organisation and co-ordination of the full project including timelines, budgeting, quality and more

- Working with the senior design team to ensure the design deadlines are met in line with client requirements

- Liaison with all stakeholders throughout the design and build process to ensure continuity, design change and timely release of documentation

- Design input throughout the process gained through a close relationship with client and yard

- Maintaining a strong grasp on all aspects of project design, working with department leads to ensure every aspect meets the needs of the client and pre-agreed deadlines

- Act as a quality controller for all aspects of the design cycle from mockups to moodboards and much more

Our ideal candidate will be educated and have spent a period of their career in yacht design before moving to project management. With a moderate to strong grasp of superyacht interior/exterior design and a command of various CAD programs you'll be able to look at the digital details of a project and be able to understand and translate them in a manner that suits all shareholders. From your time as a project manager you'll understand the challenges and restrictions that come with a build and be able to troubleshoot and negotiate amongst the various parties to ensure outcomes are both suited to client need as well as meet class, flag and feasibility restrictions. Excellent co-ordination skills are essential as is the ability to be cool under pressure

The role will require you to be based in The Netherlands and will see your time split amongst studio, yard and the various other stakeholders. Business travel is to be expected and is likely to focus mainly around Northern Europe with some further distance travel required at times.

A strong salary and benefits package is offered, matched with a chance to work on some of the most ambitious superyacht projects. Career growth is very much offered for the right person.
