Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all production activities across multiple yacht build projects
- Manage multidisciplinary teams including laminators, engineers, electricians, interior specialists, and subcontractors
- Ensure builds meet strict timelines, budgets, and quality standards
- Coordinate closely with naval architects, design teams, and project managers
- Supervise construction of advanced composite structures, including full carbon fiber hulls and decks
- Oversee installation and integration of performance systems such as curved dagger boards, foils, and rigging systems
- Ensure seamless integration of high-end, customizable luxury interiors
- Implement and optimize production processes, workflows, and resource allocation
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations, classification societies, and quality standards
- Identify risks and proactively resolve production challenges
- Report progress to senior management and stakeholders
Candidate Profile
Essential Experience
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in yacht or high-performance marine production
- Proven experience managing builds of large catamarans, performance yachts, or super yachts
- Strong background in advanced composite construction, particularly carbon fiber
- Experience with high-performance or racing-derived technologies (e.g., foils, dagger boards, lightweight structures)
- Demonstrated experience delivering technically complex, custom-built vessels
Technical Expertise
Deep understanding of:
- Composite manufacturing processes (pre-preg, infusion, vacuum bagging)
- Structural engineering principles for lightweight performance vessels
- Advanced marine systems integration
- Familiarity with cutting-edge yacht technologies derived from racing environments
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, engineering plans, and naval architecture specifications
Leadership & Management Skills
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Experience managing large, skilled production teams in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Languages
- Fluent in French and English (spoken and written) – essential
Candidate Requirements
- Must be a European national or eligible to work within the EU
- Willingness to be based in the South of France
- Flexible and adaptable mind set suited to a high-performance production environment
Desirable Attributes
- Experience in elite racing yacht programs (e.g., offshore racing, America’s Cup, etc.)
- Background in both performance and luxury yacht sectors
- Strong understanding of bespoke interior integration within lightweight structures
