Production Manager (Bulgaria)

Key Responsibilities

Lead the day-to-day management of all production departments within the shipyard.
Oversee manufacturing from composite moulding and structural assembly through to fit-out, systems installation, testing and commissioning.
Develop and manage production schedules to ensure customer delivery deadlines are achieved.
Coordinate resources across multiple production disciplines to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime.
Monitor production KPIs including labour efficiency, schedule adherence, quality performance and production output.
Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility.
Identify production bottlenecks and implement practical solutions to improve workflow and productivity.
Work closely with engineering teams to ensure designs are efficiently translated into production.
Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure materials are available to support production schedules.
Maintain exceptional quality standards throughout every stage of the manufacturing process.
Lead, mentor and develop supervisors, team leaders and production personnel.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and promote a strong safety culture throughout the business.
Manage production reporting, capacity planning and resource forecasting.
Support the introduction of new manufacturing technologies, production methods and best practices.
Contribute to strategic operational planning as the business continues to expand.

Candidate Requirements

Proven experience as a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager or Operations Manager within yacht building, shipbuilding or advanced manufacturing.
Strong understanding of composite manufacturing, yacht assembly and marine production processes.
Experience leading multi-disciplinary production teams within a structured manufacturing environment.
Demonstrable experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement or Operational Excellence initiatives.
Strong production planning, scheduling and resource management experience.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and develop high-performing teams.
Commercial awareness with experience managing production costs, labour efficiency and operational performance.
Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and production planning software.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Fluent English is essential.
