Operations Manager

Our shipyard customer based on the French Atlantic coast are looking for an operations manager to oversee and co-ordinate their project team at a busy superyacht refit yard. 

With capabilities to take on yacht projects of in excess of 100m, the yard continues to get busier and is building a strong project management team however with a growing team comes more demand for leadership and quality control. With this in mind the yard are looking to onboard an operations manager tasked with co-ordinating the project management team and managing quality standards within the yard. 

Reporting into the general manager the role will come with the following duties:

- Co-ordinating and planning project management resources across the annual schedule, ensuring best use of resource and to gauge yard and staff availbaility

- Allocating specific colleagues to specific projects, ensuring best skills fit to each project

- Building a level of quality standard internally that can be rolled out across the business to maintain best customer service and client outcome 

- Working with all parties to ensure the smooth running of the major refit season from a cost, quality and delivery perspective 

- Look to develop both the team and the service offering further as the business grows

In a candidate we seek someone with experience in shipyard project management or operations management who is keen to take on a people leadership and co-ordination role. You'll be highly organised and highly capable at building relationships internally and externally. With an eye for quality and service you'll be able to buuld the relevant systems required to build up better time and again

This is an office based role and as such we need someone based in the areas of la Ciotat, Marseille, Toulon or who would be happy to relocate to the area. English fluency is essential, French to an intermediate level at minimum is also required. On offer is a growing role with a growing and ambitious business.
