We've a vacancy to join one of our returning clients in the role of Lead Engineer
Based in The Netherlands, our customer are a superyacht tender shipyard, renowned globally for engineering and building some of the most incredible custom tenders and chase boats. With a 15 year history and with countless builds aboard their motherships, the yard has enjoyed strong growth and is now needing to employ a lead engineer to take on multiple projects.
Reporting into the Head of Engineering the role will include the following duties:
- Basic and detail engineering
- Light naval architecture duties including weight estimates and stability
- Building and populating of BOMs
- Assisting in procurement of engineering parts and systems
- Putting together work plans, production schedules and drawing packs
- Attending team meetings
- Leadership of junior colleagues
In a candidate we're seeking someone with a passion for naval architecture and engineering and a background of experience working with smaller composite vessels. Ideally you'll have worked with semi custom or custom projects and understand the challenges of one-off builds and where improvements can be found. You'll be confident in working within a team, but also to lead and challenge where necessary. Skills in Solidworks, Matlab and Autocad are also required.
