Role Overview

As a Deck Fitter, you will be a key member of our skilled production team, responsible for the precise fitting, assembly, and finishing of deck structures and components on our custom yachts and catamarans.

You will work closely with designers, engineers and fellow boat builders to deliver the level of quality and refinement expected from a leading French yacht manufacturer. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented craftsperson who takes pride in their work and thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Fit and install deck hardware, hatches, windows, rails, winches, cleats, and other components to exacting standards of alignment and finish.

• Assemble and fit deck and superstructure components, ensuring seamless integration and superior craftsmanship.

• Work with a variety of materials — including composites, timber, and metals — using precision tools and techniques.

• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.

• Collaborate with the composites, interiors, rigging, and systems teams to ensure smooth workflow and flawless fit-out.

• Conduct quality control checks throughout the build process.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace in accordance with company and industry standards.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute ideas to enhance efficiency and build quality.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

• Proven experience as a deck fitter, boat builder, or marine joiner within the yacht or composite boatbuilding industry.

• Strong understanding of deck fittings, marine hardware installation, and structural assembly.

• High level of skill with hand and power tools, and ability to work to fine tolerances.

• Ability to interpret and work from complex technical drawings.

• Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality, aesthetic finishes.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a multilingual, multicultural team.

• EU work rights or ability to work legally in France.

Desirable:

• Experience working with advanced composites such as carbon fibre and epoxy laminates.

• Familiarity with luxury yacht outfitting and finishing techniques.

• Background in performance sailing yachts or racing catamarans.

• Knowledge of French or English language (both an advantage).
